The much anticipated debut of Ezekiel Elliott appears to be on the horizon for Dallas’ next preseason game. After a minor tweak with his hamstring, the first rounder is ready to show the fantasy community how lethal he can be behind that special Cowboys offensive line. Elliott is a first round lock especially after putting these injury risks to bed.

“That’s right: This competition may no longer be Siemian vs. Sanchez but Siemian vs. Lynch.  It’s significant that Lynch will play against the Rams because many times only the top two quarterbacks play in preseason game No. 3: The starter plays at least a half, maybe even one series into the third quarter, and the backup quarterback takes it from there.”

Some unfortunate news for Mark Sanchez as it looks like his chances of starting for Denver have all but slipped away. The quarterback situation is a mess and it’s going to be very interesting to see the defending Super Bowl champions potentially trot someone out under center with no more than 1 career snap. This seriously limits the upside of receivers Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders.

Redskins running back Matt Jones is done for the preseason which will give the team an opportunity to look at both Rob Kelley and Keith Marshall. Marshall was being hyped briefly by the organization until reports came out that Kelley will be the one getting the bulk of the first team reps in Jones’ absence. These two are worth a look in very deep leagues, should anything further happen to Jones.

Quick Hits:

  • Colin Kaepernick has returned to practice and is back from the dead, I mean, his arm is back to “normal”
