Daily Fantasy Stock Report: Christine Michael to start at RB for the Seahawks

Every morning we compile the most important fantasy football links of the day for you to stay up-to-date and ahead of your fantasy opponents… This is your number one place for beat writer blabber, injury news, transaction tracking, and fantasy analysis from the experts who taught us a thing or two.

You’re probably asking why I posted this depth chart, but look closely at the Seahawks’ current running back situation. It’s Christine Michael‘s time to build off of his great preseason and take the reigns as the starting running back against Miami’s shitty defense. Thomas Rawls (ankle) will be active, but Pete Carroll stated that, “it’s still time to take care of him.” For DraftKings purposes, Michael could be a strong (and cheap) play and a is a must-carry in standard leagues.

Kelvin Benjamin had a terrific, but overrated rookie season. He was pretty raw and put up the majority of his touchdowns (9) and receptions (73) when the game was already decided. After sitting out last season, Benjamin’s health has made fantasy owners go nuts and overdraft him. In reality, he’s big and talented, but he’s not a polished NFL wide receiver. Ron Rivera said they’re aiming for 35 snaps for Benjamin on Thursday.

“After finishing last season strong, Jennings should receive the opportunity to be the Giants’ primary ball carrier. He also appears in line for more goal-line carries after the release of Andre Williams and should easily eclipse the three touchdown runs from last year if he remains healthy.”

Jordan Raanan, ESPN.com

We were already high on Rashad Jennings; however, the release of the horrible Andre Williams only made us higher on Jennings. For some reason, Williams was used at the goal line and registered 8 combined touchdowns the past two seasons. Last season, Jennings only reached pay-dirt three times. If you haven’t drafted yet, take Jennings tonight, as he’s the lead-back on what should be a pretty good offense in the Meadowlands.

Quick Hits:

  • Good news, Ezekiel Elliott‘s dad tweeteddad tweeted that his son has been cleared of all charges stemming from the domestic abuse accusation
  • As you’ve probably noticed if you’ve been watching Hard Knocks, Jared Goff sucks. He’ll be inactive for his first possible NFL game on Sunday.
  • DeVante Parker‘s hamstring has kept him on the shelf
  • Vikings QB Shaun Hill is officially the QB1 on the depth chart but Sam Bradford should get the nod for Week 2.
  • Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett is behind Jermaine Kearse on Seattle’s depth chart
