Daily Fantasy Stock Report: Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls to receive limited snaps in Week 1

Every morning we compile the most important fantasy football links of the day for you to stay up-to-date and ahead of your fantasy opponents… This is your number one place for beat writer blabber, injury news, transaction tracking, and fantasy analysis from the experts who taught us a thing or two.

As we reported yesterday, Rawls does not look to be the starter for Week 1, and even if he was, he will be receiving limited action in the game. Seattle should have no issue with Miami especially at home so Pete Carroll can afford to rest Rawls as much as needed. This solidifies Christine Michael’s value for Week 1 and makes him a very good play against a juicy Dolphins defense that’s terrible against the run.

“I want to have more rushes,” Del Rio said. “I don’t want him to have less. If anything, maybe a little more, but I want him to be more productive. We’re working on becoming a team that’s capable of running the ball well. We never really, truly established that last year.” – Jack Del Rio on Latavius Murray

This is good news for Murray owners as the Raiders are looking to expand on Murray’s role to increase his workload. He had 266 carries last season and a further improvement for that is music to our ears. We have written a previous piece on why Murray is the running back to target in the middle rounds of your draft so we are hoping you listened because big things might be in store. Running behind that offensive line, almost anything is possible.

Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett said he will start in Sunday’s opener against the Buffalo Bills after coming back from what he humorously described as a trial separation. Forsett, the Ravens’ leading rusher the past two seasons, confirmed Wednesday that his brief release from the team was part of a roster maneuver and said he has returned to his spot with the first-team offense. “I’ll be lining up there as the starter as of now,” Forsett said. “It’s my job to go out there and try to dominate and make it clear for them.”

This is an interesting piece here regarding the mess that is the Baltimore Ravens backfield. Forsett’s release was very questionable and left many heads scratching, but now back in the fold one would assume he will be the guy Week 1. Many had billed Terrence West as the guy for Week 1 in the wake of Forsett’s departure, but as a fantasy owner it is best to just stay completely away from this backfield. There are far too many question marks and bodies to make a significant fantasy impact. Just look elsewhere.

Carlos Hyde is back in uniform and ready to go for Week 1. Hyde exploded in the opener last year before simmering down and missing the rest of the season with an injury. Hyde is a running back that we are questionable about owning. He plays for a very  bad team in San Francisco, and one would assume they won’t be running the ball heavily when down by a ton of points. But if you do own him, at least you know he’s back on the field.
