Daily Fantasy Stock Report: Ravens release running back Justin Forsett

Justin Forsett has been released by the Ravens, which gives a big boost to both Terrence West and Kenneth Dixon. Dixon is expected to return from injury this week and could be the potential starter sooner rather than later. West dominated in Week 4 rushing for 113 yards and a score, and should see the bulk of the work again this week against the Redskins. Look to scoop up Dixon if he’s available in your league.

Tight end Julius Thomas will be out for Week 5, using Week 6 as his target return date. This gives slight bumps to receivers Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns for the week. If you are looking for TE replacements, check out Chargers TE Hunter Henry who is still available in 27% of leagues.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones speculates that Dez may be able to return ahead of schedule in Week 5. I wouldn’t rush to throw Dez back into your lineup right away, as I’m a little hesitant about this news. Even if he does return, he wouldn’t be at 100% and could be limited. Receivers Cole Beasley and Brice Butler have filled in nicely in Bryant’s absence thus far.

After Charles Sims gained just 28 yards on 15 carries in the Bucs loss to Denver Sunday, coach Dirk Koetter said all options remain on the table going forward in regards to the running back position. “We’re going to get Doug back here at some point and he’s one of the best running backs in the league. That will be a welcomed site when we get him back in there, but we definitely just can’t keep doing the same stuff, because that’s not working.”  Zach Shapiro – PewterReport.com

Not a good look for Sims, who has really struggled to get anything going on the ground in Doug Martin‘s absence. Sims is much better as a receiver out of the backfield and struggles between the tackles. To be fair, he was going against the Broncos defense which few people can run against in the first place. Should Sims continue to struggle, the Bucs could look to give Jacquizz Rodgers or Peyton Barber more touches.
