Brave Ben Roethlisberger is somehow back at practice already after suffering a torn meniscus in his knee. Once expected to miss 3-6 weeks, Big Ben is once again showing the NFL how much of a tough son of a bitch he really is. I’m impressed, and I’ve always liked Ben for being not only a really good QB, but for the determination he shows to try and play every game. Huge news for Antonio Brown and Steelers receivers as their value skyrockets.

DeMarco Murray injured his foot Thursday night in the electric color rush game against Jacksonville. He still finished with 123 yards and a score, but the injury allowed rookie Derrick Henry to take his turn in the exotic smashmouth backfield. Murray should be fine for Sunday, but the team could start to look into reducing his carries after totaling 160 already so far.

We all expected Doug Martin to have returned by now, but since he has not Jacquizz Rodgers had flourished in his role. Rodgers looks like he’ll miss the next few games with a foot sprain, which left Peyton Barber and Antone Smith as the lone backs for the Bucs Thursday night. Tampa has since signed Mike James who has experience in the offense, so he should see some work on short notice.

After Mark Ingram fumbled and was benched for the game with one carry, journeyman Tim Hightower came in and produced for New Orleans in their victory. Hightower had 26 carries for 102 yards while being used exclusively in the offense. Ingram has really struggled this year after beginning the season as an RB1. With his lack of production, the Saints are willing to involve Hightower much more in the offense. Very bad look for Ingram owners.
