Pederson acknowledged he needs to focus more on running the ball & having Wentz throw less rest of season. Said Sproles will be lead back.
— Reuben Frank (@RoobNBCS) November 7, 2016
There’s no denying the talent Darren Sproles brings to an offense, and it’s about time he got a featured role. Ryan Mathews hadn’t been putting up any eye popping numbers while being stuck in a crowded timeshared backfield. He does have a nose for the end zone, but Sproles is the dynamic play-maker the Eagles offense desperately needs to utilize. Score one for smaller fiery Philly guys!
Gruden says for now he thinks Rob Kelley to will get bulk of carries and Jones "will have to earn his way back."
— Mike Jones (@ByMikeJones) November 7, 2016
Tough news for Matt Jones today as the Redskins announced Rob Kelley will receive the early down carries. Jones had been sidelined with a knee injury during the teams game in London and was underwhelming in the game before against Detroit. Kelley was used effectively against the Bengals in London, although a tough matchup against Minnesota in Week 10 isn’t good for either.
As far as Reid knows right now, Spencer Ware hasn't passed concussion protocol.
— Chiefs Reporter (@ChiefsReporter) November 7, 2016
Chiefs RB Spencer Ware is still in the league’s concussion protocol, but hopefully he can pass the tests by Wednesday when the team’s initial injury report comes out. Charcandrick West was inefficient Sunday, leaving Ware owners chomping at the bit to get their RB back against Carolina.
Will Fuller V and Vince Wilfork are day-to-day, per Bill O'Brien. Will know more by the end of the week if they are ready vs. Jags.
— Deepi Sidhu (@DeepSlant) November 7, 2016
Will Fuller V is listed as day-to-day, but owners would like to see him fully cleared for a nice matchup against the Jaguars defense. We’ve voiced our displeasure with Brock Osweiler already in the podcasts, but having a completely healthy Fuller can only help that offense.
McCarthy: We had Ty (Montgomery) on a rep count, & rightfully so. We like the way he played.
— Green Bay Packers (@packers) November 7, 2016
Apparently the Packers had WR/RB Ty Montgomery on a snap count yesterday. Would have been nice to know before plugging him into the Draftkings lineup. Montgomery has easily been the Packers best option at RB which is kinda sad, but he’s starting to look decent back there. He should be back to full health this week.
Reid said Maclin could conceivably miss more time with the groin injury, but he is day to day
— RIP Terez A. Paylor (@TerezPaylor) November 7, 2016
Rough news for Jeremy Maclin who could be sidelined some time with a groin injury. The Chiefs passing game is already lacking options, so it would stink to see that douche of a tight end Travis Kelce start getting more targets. Receivers Chris Conley and Tyreke Hill could be potential replacements if you’re very desperate.
Quick Hits:
- Bucs RB Jacquizz Rodgers is still in a walking boot. Not looking good for Week 10
- Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick suffered a sprained MCL and is day-to-day. Bryce Petty would be the backup if Fitzmagic can’t go
- The Browns are sticking with Cody Kessler at QB for Week 10. Yuck
- Dolphins coach Adam Gase says he needs to do a better job of getting Jarvis Landry the ball. We agree
- DeVante Parker was limited in Sunday’s game by his past hamstring injury
- Chiefs QB Alex Smith will return for Week 10
