Valero Texas Open DFS Picks Vol. 2
- Updated: April 19, 2017
The PGA Tour returns to Texas again this week and continues the Tour’s longest Standing events in one city, San Antonio. The event is often one of the lowest scoring stops on the PGA Tour and has not had a winner above Par since 1934.
Here are some DFS picks for your gambling pleasure:
Charley Hoffman — $10,700
Hoffman is the defending champ for this event. Charley showed some great scoring potential at the Masters and his game is on right now. He could certainly provide some quality scoring to lead your lineup and will be worth every penny.
Adam Hadwin — $9,100
Hadwin is making cuts like a mad man and has been one of the more consistent players on tour. He is one of the few people on this planet to have carded a 59. The guy knows how to create birdies and can be a great asset to your lineup.
Tony Finau — $8,400
I really like Tony’s game and I called him out earlier as a potential breakout candidate. His length and above average putting could put him in position to go low on a few rounds at the Texas Open. Finau has had some off time to work out some equipment changes (as he was once a Nike sponsored golfer) and he should benefit from the time off for Masters break — coming back refreshed and hungry for your DFS lineup.
Keegan Bradley — $7,600
Bradley is due. He has been making instrumental changes to his approach and these should begin paying off as he works out the kinks. With his lengths and streaky nature, Keegan is a high up-side pick to have some low scores this weekend.
Bryson DeChambeau — $7,200
A slight sophomore slump has undervalued this talented youngster. I predict Bryson will find a groove this week. DeChambeau is a risk-reward gut pick for me priced at a low number.
Andrew Johnston — $7,000
Gotta love this guy. At low salary he has a high upside and a great beard! BEEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!
