Fantasy Football Nerds: Pro Football Focus’ Key Week 15 Stat Nuggets

We've uncovered a few advanced statistics that should catch your attention.

We decided to make our site nerdier by acquiring a Pro Football Focus Elite account (H/T JimboSlice’s black card), and it’s safe to say it’s life changing. We are slowly becoming millionaires on DraftKings because of it, and our big brains are getting even bigger.

Here are some of the key stats that we uncovered on Pro Football Focus this week, and if you want more stats like this, you should buy yourself a subscription. It’s worth every penny.

Kenyan Drake is the biggest steal on DraftKings this week

DraftKings constructs their price tags on Monday, meaning even the greatest Monday Night Football performances go unnoticed by DFS standards. Kenyan Drake is coming off back-to-back 100-plus yard performances, highlighted by his carving of the Patriots defense. Drake is now a borderline RB1 in fantasy, and is only $5,800 against the second worst run defense in the league! Nope, that is not a typo. Over the last six weeks, the Bills have allowed 191 rushing yards and 2.2 rushing yards per game, and with the weather shitty up north, expect the ‘Fins to pound the rock with the former ‘Bama running back. #RollTide

Nick Foles is going to drape is big dong all over The Meadowlands

Don’t worry Carson Wentz owners, the owner of the biggest dong in the Eagles’ locker room is here to save your season. Foles has a loaded supporting cast and is facing an extremely favorable matchup against the porous Giants secondary that is allowing an average of 275 passing yards and two touchdown passes per game. Some may be higher on Blake Bortles or Jimmy Garoppolo, but The Wolf is quietly climbing up the quarterback rankings and should definitely be given a chance if you lost Wentz.

Julio will lead you to the championship game

It seems like a century ago, but it’s only been three weeks since Julio Jones bent over the entire Buccaneers secondary for the tune of 253 yards and two touchdowns on 12 receptions. With Vernon Hargreaves still on the shelf, Ryan Smith will likely be forced to cover Julio again. Anything less than 10 receptions and a score would be a major disappointment.

If Dede isn’t in your lineup this week… you’re an idiot

If you’re a loyal reader of the RSJ (you are), you would know that we are HUGE Dede Westbrook guys. Each and every week since he’s returned from IR, he’s improved. Westbrook will continue to ascend this week when he squares off against the leaky Kareem Jackson, who’s allowed the third-most receptions this season with 54. Dede is a must-start in the semi-finals and a must-play on DraftKings at $5,100.

Should you be worried about the snow?

Everyone always goes crazy when they see snow on their respective TVs on Sunday morning, but other than last week’s snow globe in Buffalo, do you really need to worry about snow? Luckily, the big brains over at PFF broke it all down in this article. It’s a pretty interesting piece that breaksdown the impact that snow has on both the run and pass game.
