The San Diego Chargers just cannot catch a break. First they lost Philip Rivers‘ No. 1 target, Keenan Allen, to a torn ACL last week, and now Rivers’ has lost his safety valve, Danny Woodhead, to the same injury in Week 2.
As thought, Chargers now confirm Danny Woodhead has a torn ACL. https://t.co/LzWFi3YX7l

From a fantasy perspective, this marks another hit on Rivers’ stock. Rivers actually played extremely well on Sunday — bouncing back from the Allen loss — but losing his top-two targets might be too much for him to overcome.
With Woody and key reserve Branden Oliver both done for the season, it’s Melvin Gordon‘s backfield now.
