Daily Fantasy Stock Report: Bills concerned with Sammy Watkins Week 3 availability

Every morning we compile the most important fantasy football links of the day for you to stay up-to-date and ahead of your fantasy opponents… This is your number one place for beat writer blabber, injury news, transaction tracking, and fantasy analysis from the experts who taught us a thing or two.

The Sammy Watkins’ saga continues. He’s borderline unrealizable in fantasy football and you never know his health or what he can give you on a consistent basis. Watkins was banged up heading into last week and faced a favorable match-up with Darrelle Revis and the Jets secondary, but put up a measly 20 yards on 2 receptions. We suggest you sit Watkins until he’s healthy, especially since he would square off with Pat Peterson on Sunday.

It looks like Antonio Gates (hamstring) is doubtful for Sunday, so it looks like the Mackey Award winner (nation’s top tight end) will get his first career NFL start. Hunter Henry’s coach is clearly high on him and he could be a good, cheap DFS option on Sunday vs the Colts — especially with their rash of injuries on offense.

Willie Snead sat out practice on Thursday. Typically this wouldn’t be a huge deal, but feet injuries are worrisome, especially when it comes to receivers. Snead’s participation will be something to monitor on Friday.

Quick Hits:

  • Delanie Walker (hamstring) returned to practice
  • Doug Baldwin (knee) expects to play Week 3
  • Dan Quinn anticipates Julio Jones to be 100-percent for Sunday’s favorable match-up with the Saints
  • Andrew Luck returned to practice. It seems like he’s getting the old Tom Brady “shoulder treatment” every week
