Week 5 is upon us, and we are creeping closer to the “make or break” point of your fantasy season. Perhaps you’re at the top, needing to stay ahead to secure the bye. Or maybe you’re trapped in the cellar and need to string off a miracle stretch run. Regardless, find out who side with in tough lineup decisions — especially with so many explosive team’s on bye– with The Wolf’s rankings.
Bye Weeks: Jacksonville, New Orleans, Seattle, Kansas City
Sunday Update
- Stefon Diggs is doubtful, and has been removed from this list
- Eddie Royal is highly questionable after not practicing all week, but there’s still a chance he suits up. Cameron Meredith is his immediate backup and can provide some sort of backup plan if needed. This secondary is atrocious.
- The winds are gusting hard for the Redskins / Rvens matchups, which limits the deep ball appeal of guys like DeSean Jackson, Mike Wallace, and Steve Smith. I wouldn’t go insane and bench these guys for trash, but I’m not targeting any in DraftKings anymore.
Tier 1 – Potential Top Scorers
1. Antonio Brown (PIT) vs. NYJ
2. Odell Beckham Jr. (NYG) @ GB – Now or never time for ODB. Clearly I think it’s now.
Packers CB Shields out Week 5. Diggs (182, TD) + M.Jones (205, 2 TDs) feasted in his absence. OBJ bounce back tour time. #FantasyFootball

3. A.J. Green (CIN) @ DAL
4. Mike Evans (TB) @ CAR
5. Jordy Nelson (GB) vs. NYG
Tier 2 – High End WR1s (PPR)
6. Brandon Marshall (NYJ) @ PIT
7. Julio Jones (ATL) @ DEN
8. Kelvin Benjamin (CAR) vs. TB
9. Julian Edelman (NE) @ CLE
10. T.Y. Hilton (IND) vs. CHI
11. Jarvis Landry (MIA) vs. TEN
Tier 3 – Elite WR2s
12. Alshon Jeffery (CHI) @ IND – Another “Now or never” guy. I’m slightly more skeptical of Alshon, however… and these stats all came with Jay Cutler as his QB.
In 2015, without White, Alshon Jeffery ranked top-10 in targets per game, red zone targets per game, and "deep targets" per game. https://t.co/IHNwESycFt

13. Jordan Matthews (PHI) @ DET – Him and Wentz should prey upon this atrocious secondary.
14. Demaryius Thomas and 15. Emmanuel Sanders (Den) vs. ATL
Legitimately questioning who the Denver WR1 at this point. Am I nuts, @CecilLammey? pic.twitter.com/Zuxs6hYfqi

Choosing which Denver WR will punish Atlanta more is tricky, and Sanders may indeed be the guy. I’m still siding with Demaryius for this week, but both should find plenty to eat against a very generous Falcons pass D.
16. Marvin Jones (DET) vs. PHI – Normally I’d fire up Jones in the surefire WR1 category, but the Philly defense is no mirage.
17. Amari Cooper (OAK) vs. SD
18. DeAndre Hopkins (HOU) @ MIN – Wait one more week. The buy low window should be opened even further against this vicious Vikings defense.
Tier 4 – Low End WR2s, Elite WR3s
19. Travis Benjamin (SD) @ OAK
20. Larry Fitzgerald (ARI) @ SF
21. Terrelle Pryor (CLE) vs. NE
22. Michael Crabtree (OAK) vs. SD
23. Sterling Shepard (NYG) @ GB
Tier 5 – Sexy Flexys
24. Randall Cobb (GB) vs. NYG
25. DeSean Jackson (WAS) @ BAL
DeSean Jackson draws Shareece Wright this week. Over the last 3 weeks, he has given up 16 receptions, 205 yards, and 5 TDs to opposing WRs.
