Monday Morning Trainer’s Room: Aaron Jones and Devonta Freeman Highlight the NFL Week 10 Injury Report

The injury bug has settled down!

Injuries are a part of the game, but for fantasy football, they’re a major part of the game. One player gets hurt and your whole roster could crumble if you don’t have a backup plan. We’re here to update you on the most fantasy-relevant injuries and how their team plans to move forward.

12:23 PM UPDATE:

The Packers backfield of horrors finally got some clarity — but lost their top two options. Rookie Jamaal Williams will most likely carry the entire load next week after Aaron Jones was carted off with a sprained MCL, before Ty Montgomery re-aggravated his rib injury. Jones could miss a few weeks, but the timetable is unknown for Montgomery, who missed some time with fractured ribs earlier in the season. Williams is a perfect streaming option for next week’s matchup against the Ravens, as he will be the bell-cow in Brett Hundley’s run-first offense.

Devonta Freeman got knocked out of the game with a concussion and is now in concussion protocol. In his absence, Tevin Coleman handled the carries, rushing for 83 yards and a score on 20 carries. If Freeman misses Week 11, Coleman would be the obvious lead back, while Terron Ward would be the RB2. Ward carried the ball nine times for 23 yards.

11:10 AM UPDATE:

Cold Tub:

  • Will Fuller left the game with a rib injury after getting destroyed over the middle; he did not return
  • Jacoby Brissett is in concussion protocol and is week-to-week; the Colts are on the bye this week
  • Brett Hundley tweaked his hamstring but remained in the game
  • DeShone Kizer left Week 10 with a rib injury and later returned
  • Steelers shutdown corner Joe Haden will only miss three weeks with a “slight” fibula fracture
  • The oft-injured Sean Lee left the game with a hamstring injury and did not return
