Creature Will Dissly Climbs up from the Sewer and onto Fantasy Radars

Will Dissly was briefly allowed out of the sewer last season and he's back for more in 2019.

Will Dissly briefly popped up on the fantasy scene last season, grabbing two touchdowns during his first four NFL games. Unfortunately, Dissly tore his patellar tendon in Week 4 and the creature was sent back to the sewer to rehab. Entering this season, the young tight end was on nobody’s radar in an offense that had a bunch of question marks. It was supposed to be run-heavy approach with a healthy mix of Tyler Lockett. However, in just the last two weeks, Dissly has caught 11-of-12 targets for 112 yards and three touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 265 lb TE looks to be one of Russell Wilson’s go-to guys in the red zone and needs to be a priority waiver add if he’s still available (47 percent owned).

With the Seahawks dealing backup TE Nick Vannett to the Steelers on Tuesday, this shows the confidence that Pete Carroll has in Dissly — along with the Steelers being concerned that Vance McDonald’s shoulder injury. So, if you are a McDonald owner or just an owner of an inconsistent tight end, there’s no reason to not put in a claim for the Seahawks’ TE1.

Dissly is in a real blowup spot this week, squaring off against the pathetic Cardinals’ defense who have been bent over by TJ Hockenson, Mark Andrews and Greg Olsen this season. He’s our TE7 this week (+2 vs ECR).
