Chris Godwin Injures Hamstring, Joins Mike Evans on the Fantasy Bench at the Worst Possible Time

Chris Godwin went down with a non-contact hamstring injury and it looks like his fantasy season is over.

It looks like Chris Godwin will join his teammate Mike Evans in the cold tub for the remainder of the fantasy season after suffering a non-contact hamstring injury that resulted in him getting carted off to the locker room. When asked about Godwin’s status, Bruce Arians said it “doesn’t look good,” which is the same thing he said about Evans’ hamstring last week. Godwin was still able to give his fantasy owners 121 yards and five grabs before exiting the game, but they will be without their stud wideout for the fantasy championship game.

In his absence, journeyman and former first round bust, Breshad Perriman, exploded to the tune of five receptions for 113 yards and not one, not two, but three touchdowns. With Evans, Godwin and the unknown Scotty Miller going down with hamstring injuries (do they even stretch in Tampa?), it looks like it will be up to Perriman, Justin Watson, OJ Howard, and Cameron Brate to help Jameis Winston in Week 16 against a roastable Texans’ secondary.

Thanks for the baller season, Godwin. *prayer emoji*
