Miles Sanders Trending to be Fantasy League Winner in Jordan Howard’s Absence

Doug Pederson finally gave Miles Sanders the workhorse treatment.

Miles Sanders has had an up-and-down rookie season as the primary backup to Jordan Howard in Philadelphia. He had a few productive showings throughout the early part of the season, but overall had just 2 total TDs through 12 weeks. Over the last few weeks, however, Sanders has taken over the starting role in Howard’s absence and his production has skyrocketed. He has 3 total TDs in that span, including 2 scores coupled with over 170 total yards in Sunday’s win over Washington. Sanders looks like he’s peaking at the perfect time for fantasy owners, and the fact that the Eagles are battling for a playoff spot should allow Sanders to continue producing at a high level, especially if Jordan Howard remains out.

With the plethora of injuries the Eagles have dealt with on offense this season, Sanders and Zach Ertz have found themselves in fantastic situations for fantasy production over the past few weeks. And luckily for their fantasy owners, this should continue into the championship round with a make-or-break matchup with the Cowboys looming in Week 16. Coming off a game in which Sanders set career-highs in carries, rushing yards, receptions, and total TDs, it may be unreasonable to expect similar numbers against Dallas, but his talent and usage should render him a strong championship play regardless.
