Happy Thanksgiving folks! It wouldn’t be a true Turkey Day if we didn’t have a DraftKings Thanksgiving slate to give you some plays and picks while you’re inhaling all the turkey, stuffing, and whatnot down your gullet.
Update: The Steelers/Ravens game has been postponed and will not count on Thursdays slate
Quarterback
Deshaun Watson $7,400
No brainer pick here. Few QBs are playing better than Deshaun Watson right now and he faces a horrific Lions defense that’s on par with Aunt Helen’s steamed broccoli dish. He’s playing at a super high level and I wouldn’t feel comfortable starting any other QB on this slate.
Running Backs
D’Andre Swift $6,500
The rookie was set free in Week 10, carrying the ball 16 times and catching 5 balls for 25.9 DK points. The reigns are off, and Houston’s defense presents a great opportunity for solid production as long as he suits up for the game. Wolf is all about Swift in a starting bell cow role, which is all the confidence you need moving forward.
Antonio Gibson $6,000
After having such a large portion of the target share in Weeks 10 and 11, JD McKissic nearly disappeared last week in favor of Antonio Gibson — finally. Gibson is the best all around option Washington has and carried the ball 16 times last week. The team is finally leaning in his favor and I’m all for it.
Wide Receivers
Marvin Jones $5,300
This normally would be Brandin Cooks’ spot, but with the pick below I didn’t want to harp too much on one team. Marvin Jones should be the WR1 again as Kenny Golladay was ruled out for Thursday’s game. Jones had some pretty bad luck the last few weeks having touchdowns called back with penalties in what could have been massive days. Against Houston’s defense, Jones can for sure produce at a high level.
Keke Coutee $3,400
While I love both Will Fuller and Cooks as plays this week, Keke Coutee is a great sleeper option with the absence of Randall Cobb. Coutee slides right into that slot role and finished with 2-10-1 on 4 targets in his limited action against New England. Low price and an increased role against a bad defense. Good value play here.
Tight End
TJ Hockenson $4,700
With Golladay out of the lineup, TJ Hockenson has taken on a larger role for Detroit. I never trust playing Logan Thomas as we’ve seen this year, so I’ll take the reliable Hockenson who’s operated at a level just below Kelce and Waller this season.
D/ST
Dallas Cowboys $2,800
I’m not playing the Lions for obvious reasons, and I don’t like the Texans defense either. I’d rather take a flier on Dallas at home against Alex Smith than I would be paying up for Washington against Dalton and those offensive weapons. Don’t love it, but whatever.
