Each week throughout the season, these values will be altered to reflect the player’s value for the rest of the season. Changes made to player’s value will be based on FantasyPros Rest of Season ECR, results from the season thus far, and The Wolf’s Rest of Season Rankings. But for the most part, the below values should generally reflect consensus rankings. The values provided also allow for comparing player values across positions, not just within one positional group.

Be sure to tune back each week throughout the season. We’ll be adjusting the chart, discussing risers & fallers, and pinpointing trade targets.

Fantasy Football Week 7 Trade Value Chart: Quarterbacks
Quarterback Riser
Baker Mayfield was the riser that we highlighted last week and we’re right back here again after a 28.9-point performance in Week 6. Mayfield has finished as the weekly QB7 or higher in four of five games this season. His only disappointing day came against a talented Denver secondary.
Mayfield fits like a glove in Liam Coen’s offense. Coen has Mayfield throwing regularly (2nd in pass rate over expectation) and those throws are shallow, high-percentage looks. Mayfield’s 5.6-yard aDOT ranks second to last among starting QBs and his 71-percent completion rate ranks 5th.
Mayfield shows no sign of slowing down and neither does the Tampa Bay offense. This is also a defense that ranks 20th in points per game and 16th in yards per play allowed. Mayfield and the offense will consistently be relied on to win the Buccaneers games, leading to regular fantasy production.
Quarterback Faller
There’s been no quarterback more inconsistent than Kyler Murray this season. Murray has as many games with 25-plus points as he does with 12 or fewer points.
The issue is that Murray’s best days have been built on production that isn’t reliable every week. Murray scored 28.5 points against a Rams defense that ranks 31st in EPA per play and 32nd in yards per play allowed. He’s not going to have this matchup every week.
Murray scored 25.1 points in Week 5 against the 49ers. In this one, 44 percent of his fantasy scoring came on a single play, a 50-yard touchdown rush. Plays like this are going to be few and far between.
The Arizona offense as a whole has regressed in the last month. They’ve failed to score more than 14 points in three of four games and rank 24th in EPA per play. Until they make improvements as a unit, Murray will be a boom-bust fantasy option.
Quarterback Trade Target
After being pegged as one of the players who could “break fantasy” during draft season, Anthony Richardson has been a significant disappointment to those who drafted him. At this point, he can be acquired for pennies on the dollar.
We’ve seen the upside with Richardson. He was the QB4 in Week one and was on his way to leading the Colts to two straight 70-yard touchdown drives before getting hurt in Week 4. Despite all his struggles as a passer, Richardson still ranks 5th in fantasy points per dropback. The ceiling is there.
Yes, relying on Richardson can be a tough situation to be in. But when it comes to trading for him, the question becomes, why not? Considering the perception of Richardson and the price that he can be acquired for, he’s worth a flier. If you happen to be in a situation where you have someone like Geno Smith or Sam Darnold on the bench, see if you can make something happen.
