RSJ’s Jackson Barrett created a value-based drafting Excel tool to create the preseason values for this Fantasy Football Trade Value Chart. The tool uses the FantasyPros consensus projections to assign values based on a 12-team, full PPR league.
Each week throughout the season, these values will be altered to reflect the player’s value for the rest of the season. Changes made to player’s value will be based on FantasyPros Rest of Season ECR, results from the season thus far, and The Wolf’s Rest of Season Rankings. But for the most part, the below values should generally reflect consensus rankings. The values provided also allow for comparing player values across positions, not just within one positional group.
For more information on how to make successful deals, check out our strategies for negotiating trades.
Be sure to tune back each week throughout the season. We’ll be adjusting the chart, discussing risers & fallers, and pinpointing trade targets.
The trade value chart for each position is linked below.
Fantasy Football Week 7 Trade Value Chart: Tight Ends
Tight End Riser
After missing four games with a hamstring injury, Evan Engram returned to the Jaguars in Week 6. He was in full form last week in London, racking up 10 targets on a 4.6-yard aDOT. He finished with a 10/102/0 stat line.
Engram’s usage and role were eerily similar to what we saw from Engram in 2023. He’s racking up high-percentage, checkdown targets that lead to a high catch rate and plenty of PPR points.
Engram has seemingly reprised his role as the high-volume target hog that allowed him to lead tight ends in targets and receptions last season. Some people don’t believe this type of production is “fair”, but Engram is going to be a strong asset in PPR leagues.
Tight End Faller
As we progress into the season, there are fewer dramatic changes within the tight end position. This week, there aren’t any significant fallers among the fantasy-relevant tight ends. Unfortunately, Dallas Goedert suffered a hamstring injury last week and has an unclear timeline for return.
Goedert’s fantasy value also takes a hit with the return of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Brown is back to commanding a 30-percent target share and Smith is the clear No. 2 in the offense. Gone are the days of 7-10 targets and acting as the go-to receiver.
The bottom-tier TE1 options get pretty hairy so it’s hard to knock Goedert too far down. When he’s on the field, he’s more than likely going to be in your starting lineup. It should just come with an understanding that he has a much lower ceiling these days.
